September 15 is the last day of the roster freeze in Major League Soccer, and with only four days to go, Orlando City’s Dennis Chin and Jerome Mechack have arrived just in time to try to make an impression at DC United.

Both players went to the Capital for a trial earlier in the week with a team that currently sits sixth in the Eastern Conference with only seven games remaining in the season.

The pair's trial lasts until Thursday, with a deal possible between now and Saturday.

Chin played 24 games this season with Orlando City Soccer, starting in 13. His league-leading 11 goals named him USL PRO top scorer for the 2012 season. He was also in the running for MVP, but lost the award to fellow Lion Kevin Molino. Chin was also named to the USL PRO All-League First Team in 2012.

Mechack Jerome started 20 matches for Orlando, scoring one goal. He was named to the USL PRO team of the week once during the regular season. Jerome’s role as a consistent regular at right back for City also helped him to be included in the USL PRO All-League Second Team in 2012.
