Time: 8:00 AM Approximately 50 teams will be competing in the 2012 Special Olympics Florida State Games Soccer Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Throughout the day, other events including Track & Field, Tennis, and Volleyball will take place. Full details of Orlando City's involvement will be revealed at a later date when plans are finalized and confirmed. |

Time: 5:30 PM The Runway To Hope Spring Fashion Soiree is Runway To Hope’s signature event of the year, hosted by TV personality, actor, author and dancer, Mario Lopez, and co-hosted by Miss USA, Alyssa Campenella. Join us, and over 1,000 guests for a cocktail party featuring cuisine from the extraordinary Waldorf Astoria, a national celebrity host and fabulous live and silent auctions. The highlight of the evening is special fashion show featuring more than 50 incredible and brave children, ages 2 to 18, all who are currently battling or have overcome their cancer - including Austin Richards, last year's "Lion for a Day". Modeling much more than clothing, these courageous children make their fashion debut arm in arm with one of our dozens of national and local celebrity escorts like Jamie Watson and Matt Luzunaris as they show off the truest beauty of all – their unwavering spirits. Time: 10:00 AM Join us as we help feed the homeless at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. The Orlando City players will be feeding the homeless during their Independence Day Cook-Off Banquet. The Orlando Union Rescue Mission has been serving the homeless in Central Florida since 1948. Their Mission Home is more than a shelter, it is a home for homeless families. They provide more than food, shelter and clothing. Their responsibility and purpose is to help families become self-sufficient with whatever resources are needed and available. |
